Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Generate maps and related graphs and charts
  • Plan map content, format and design and compile required data from aerial photographs, survey notes, records, reports and other maps
  • Maintain and manage digital database
  • Maintain equipment and instruments
  • Process data to conduct basic analyses of trends
  • Write specifications and technical reports
  • Apply quality control procedure
  • Participate in field checks and verification
  • Inspect final compositions
  • Analyze and interpret weather data
  • Maintain climatological databases
  • Observe, record and transmit atmospheric and weather information
  • Operate analog or digital airborne remote sensing equipment to prepare images, data and graphic reports, maps and charts
  • Perform data entry
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data
